| 1992 - An important year : In 1991 the young couple acquired 9 ha(22.2 acres) of land in the region of Côtes de Castillon. In 1992, with their first vintage from those vines, they discovered the excellent quality of the fruit produced by the sandy plains and magnificent clay-chalk slopes, the extension of those which produce the "GRANDS CRUS CLASSES of St.EMILION". On this soil their "last born" , ARTHUS 1992 jewel of their exploitation, is for Mr Bethane(R.V.F.) a cru of GREAT ART! It was also this year that their "first born" cru, the result of a rigorous selection and a series of blind tastings(the practice began process in 1985), received the ultimate seal of approval. In the 1993 Hachette guide to wine (published in 1992) "CHATEAU ORISSE DU CASSE" 1989 received the highest rating possible of 3 stars, and the comment "exceptional wine"!
